Animal Humane Society's Community Outreach program works to connect people with pets to the resources they need to provide their animals with happy, healthy lives.

The $25 spay and neuter program was discontinued on August 1, 2020. We have transitioned to a more sustainable way of offering the community high-quality, affordable veterinary services with additional discounts based on income.
Our goal is to expand access to affordable veterinary care by eliminating our previous program boundaries, and allowing more people access to these great services. This change was made in conjunction with the opening of our new St. Paul Vet Center at 1159 University Ave.
Animal Humane Society is expanding access to affordable veterinary care by offering high-quality, low-cost services with affordable feed for everyone — with additional discounts to those who qualify based on income.
Refer to our Veterinary Center fees and eligibility to determine if you qualify for reduced pricing based on your annual income.

We will no longer be offering transportation services to the Vet Center. If you need transportation assistance to your appointment, reach out to one of these local resources.
- Metro Transit Green Line: Stop Number 15, Lexington Pkwy Station; Pets are welcome on buses and trains as long as they are kept in animal carriers. Service animals are exempt.
- Metro Mobility is a shared ride public transportation service for certified riders who are unable to use regular fixed-route buses due to a disability or health condition. Trips are provided for any purpose. To sign-up for Metro Mobility, visit the website or call 651-602-1111. Customers may bring pets with them if there is space on the vehicle and the pet is in a carrier.
