We’ve invested in a secure online tool through FreeWill that makes donating crypto quick and easy. We accept a variety of cryptocurrencies, and this tool contains detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to make your donation. It also already has Animal Humane Society’s nonprofit EIN and brokerage information, making it easier for you to keep track of your gifts and affiliated tax information.

You will not be charged any additional fees when you donate crypto through our online donation platform, FreeWill. 100% of the net proceeds from your donation will go towards supporting AHS.
The dollar value of your cryptocurrency donation will correspond to the exchange rate at the moment your gift is converted to USD, typically within 10 minutes of receiving your gift. The value of your donation will be indicated on the tax receipt, which will also be sent directly from FreeWill within 10 minutes of your donation.
For gifts over $100, AHS will be notified by FreeWill that a crypto donation has been made and the transfer of funds will be initiated within 1-2 business days. For gifts under $100, notification and transfers will occur monthly.
